For more than 24 years, our company’s story has been built on dedication, craftsmanship, and a deep-rooted passion for masonry. It all began with our founder, Ray Jr., who learned the trade from his father and grandfather starting at just 12 years old. Handing down tools and techniques from generation to generation, the family forged a tradition of excellence and integrity that has formed the bedrock of our work ethic. By the time Ray Jr. turned 18, he had become a proud member of the bricklayer’s union, putting his skills to use on major projects and honing the craft that would shape his professional journey.

After 15 years in the union, Ray Jr. transitioned to a local Ventura County contractor to be closer to home. His diligence and talent earned him a role as main supervisor, overseeing every aspect of the company’s masonry work. Yet, it was the weekend side projects—growing larger and more ambitious—that inspired Ray Jr. to become a licensed contractor in his own right. With a supportive push from his former employer and the rising demand of developments like Dos Vientos in the 1990s, he was able to grow his own business—founded on a friendly, knowledgeable approach and a genuine commitment to doing the job right.

Today, four generations later, that dedication continues through Ray Jr.’s son, Jonathan, who has inherited not only the time-tested techniques but also the family’s forward-thinking spirit. By introducing new methods of communication and updated outreach strategies, Jonathan ensures that the company remains adaptable to modern market demands while never losing sight of its traditional roots.
